Located near the border of China and North Korea in Yanji, China, Do Chon Orphanage was established by the Han family over 12 years ago. The orphanage began as an outreach to street children, most of whom were special needs and/or mentally handicapped. Due to its location, it represents a blend of Chinese and Korean culture.
Currently, they provide remarkable care for 25 children who would otherwise be left to beg on the streets. Recently, the children were provided new beds. They are given medical care, academic tutoring, as well as a wholesome environment. Two of the children are attending public school.
