Tony Garcia
Missions RepresentativeBishop Dr. Juan A. (Tony) Garcia began his ministerial journey at the age of 13 under the mentorship of his father Rev. Antonio Garcia in New York City.
A native New Yorker of parents of Puerto Rican descent (Antonio & Carmen Iris Garcia), he and his wife Jennie have been blessed with three children (Jay, Ben, and Tina) and four grandchildren (JayLee Carmen, Cameron Zechariah, Arabella Kate, and Kyler Bronx).
During the last 39 years, Bishop Garcia has served the Church of God as associate pastor, senior pastor, District and Regional YCE and Music/Media Director for the Northeast Hispanic Region, Church of God International Youth Board Member, Chair of the International Hispanic Ministries Advisory Board, International Coordinator of Hispanic Ministries for the International Y.C.E. Department, National Evangelist, member of the USA Hispanic Ministry & Education Board, Chairman of the Center of Latino Studies of the Church of God Pentecostal Theological Seminary, and Administrative Bishop for the New England Hispanic and Northeast Hispanic regions. He has also served on various interdenominational and intercultural national and regional boards and committees.
His ministry has been dedicated to preparing, equipping, discipling, and mentoring a generation for kingdom building. In May of 2018, he concluded another phase of his ministerial training, graduating with a Doctor of Ministries degree at the New York Theological Seminary.
After 16 years as an Administrative Bishop alongside his wife Rev. Jennie Garcia (Ordained Minister), in the 2024 General Assembly Dr. Garcia was blessed to be appointed to serve Church of God World Missions as a Missions Representative continuously believing that there is a “Greater Still” experience ahead of us as the body of Christ.
