Charles Fischer
Missions RepresentativeCharles E. Fischer comes to Church of God World Missions with a broad ministry experience. He was called to ministry at the age of 14 and credentialed at 17 in his home state of Texas. To date, his ministry has taken him to 49 states and 37 countries. He received a B.A. from West Coast Christian College (1980) and an M.Div from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary (1983).
Charles married the love of his life, Alice, in 1977. They have two children, Lauryn (husband Brandon) and Joel (wife Lydia). They are blessed with three grandchildren named Micah, Miah, and Hilda.
Charles served as an evangelist for eight years, 12 years as a State Youth and Discipleship Director (Washington, Oklahoma, Southern Ohio). He and Alice then served a total of 16 years as Lead Pastors in Indianapolis, IN and Longview, WA. Immediately before coming to World Missions, Charles was the Administrative Bishop of Alaska (two years), California/Nevada (six years), Kentucky (four years), and Texas (two years).
Beginning in fourth grade Social Studies, Charles became fascinated with the world while studying about Argentina and the Netherlands. Little did he know what his future held. He enthusiastically states, “I am very excited to embrace serving as a Missions Representative for Church of God World Missions. I believe the ministry journey the Lord has given me since I was a teenager has equipped me for such a time as this.”
