A group of 71 people from 11 different states participated in the 19 th summer missions trip to Poza Rica, Mexico. The primary purpose was to minister at the Casa Hogar Alfa y Omega orphanage. Each year, two to three times per year, missions groups travel there to minister, work, and assist.
This year, one of the trip highlights was the dedication of the new multi-purpose building—an outdoor auditorium which will seat around 700 people. It will serve as a playground, worship center, arena for fellowship and parties, and many other functions. It was built by faith and has taken many years to complete. The children prayed and prayed that God would provide.
It completes the initial building of the large dining hall which seats about 150 people and the commercial kitchen. This kitchen and dining hall have changed the entire complexion of the community at the orphanage. They now have a place to eat together and prepare meals inside in a safe environment.
Many Church of God churches and individuals have given to make these buildings possible. Truly, God has performed a miracle for these children who have been abused, neglected, and abandoned. The Church of God loves the children of the world!
