IMG_3050Peace Karangwa, wife of Charles Karangwa, superintendent of Central Africa, passed away on August 23, 2016. She was born on December 28, 1960.

A dedicated regional chairlady of Women’s Discipleship in Central Africa, Peace will be remembered as a Spirit-filled woman of God. She was also given to intercessory prayer and lived a life of frequent fasting. Peace was a strong prayer warrior for the continent of Africa and the world beyond.

As a faithful wife and loving mother of five children, Peace experienced the heartache of losing a child … one of their sons passed away from malaria. Her life of total surrender to God set the example. Peace’s strong support in their God-given ministry was not only felt within Central Africa, but within the Church of God throughout Africa.

Peace served alongside her husband Charles as national supervisor/Christian education coordinator/overseer of Burundi/Rwanda and regional CE coordinator of East Africa before their appointment as regional superintendent of Central Africa in 2008.

One of the meanings of the word “peace” is that of a state of tranquility and security. Peace’s name reflects the life she lived and she will be missed by all who knew her.
