Attendees from across the Philippines recently filled the Manila SMX Convention Center for the 14th Church of God National Assembly—the largest attendance numbering almost 10,000 in the history of the movement.

National Overseer Dr. Anthony Velasco delivered the state of the national church message encouraging pastors, churches, and laity to “Go Beyond” themselves in excellent service to God. Church of God World Missions Philippines has quickly shifted from being a mission field to becoming a missions force. Austral Asia Superintendent Dr. Marc A. Morris states: “These are exciting times as an entirely new paradigm of ministry is emerging in the Philippines.”

Thousands of delegates attending the tri-annual convention represented five major church regions: Mindanao, Northern Luzon, Central Southern, Visayas, and Metro Manila.

The wide stage accommodated pastors representing over 600 churches who came for special prayer, along with leaders, at the request of Dr. Velasco. The Go Beyond coordinator, Gigi Valasco, says: “We love our pastors in the Philippines, and the national leadership team desired to welcome, honor, and inspire the pastors, along with our people, to continue serving God and countrymen with excellence!”
