Terrell comes from a rich heritage and background in World Missions, but he has carved his own path. The son of former WM Representative Russell Brinson, his life was largely influenced by missions and missionaries. Terrell is a third generation Church of God minister and has a master’s degree from the Church of God Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Divinity from SEMISUD in Quito, Ecuador, South America.

This year marks the 23rd anniversary of Terrell’s association with World Missions. He first served as coordinator of missions communications, then World Missions administrative assistant, and currently is senior missions representative. Terrell has ministered in 77 countries, interacting with missionaries, national leaders, and field directors from around the world.

Terrell’s mission is to assist believers in finding their place of missions involvement, particularly pastors and local churches, by encouraging them to have a personal stake in fulfilling the Great Commission. Adding to his area of expertise, he is frequently asked to be a guest clinician at state ministerial training conferences, as well as teaching in seminaries and Bible schools on the mission field.

A creative individual and one who has a comprehensive understanding of effective missions ministry for the 21st century, Terrell sets the bar for missions awareness and fund-raising.

Dr. Brinson says: “God has given me a tremendous burden to use my gifting in the work of the ‘Great Commission.”
