Great news! The Send the Light to the Cities project in Manila, Philippines, is quickly progressing to completion.
The congregation of over 200 presently housed in the Marriott-Manila facility is moving its office and training center to the new Office and Training Center. This is an open door for the Church of God in an area comprising a population of 12 million people. An official ribbon cutting and dedication was held at the new HUB location. Among those attending the dedication ceremony were International World Missions Director Dr. David M. Griffis.
A.J. Velasco, pastor and son of Overseer Anthony Velasco, has been mightily used of God to plant the church. In a city where real estate is astronomical to purchase, God’s favor upon the effort is markedly shown. Located at 81 Newport Blvd., the Office and Training Center is an impressive site. God always provides the best to those who are wholeheartedly dedicated to the FINISH Commitment.
Pastor Velasco says: “The need is great in Manila. These are the grounds that people will either find God because ministry, training, and prayer was given, or they will sink to the lowest level of darkness. Your continued partnership and faithfulness is vital to carry the torch of the gospel to the city. A lighthouse is raised and soon to be paid for in full. The message of Hope is coming to Manila! Because of you, The SL2C Manila project is open and operational.”
