More than 200,000 children live in extreme poverty in Guyana, a beautiful country full of diversity. Unfortunately, the government does not have an adequate foster care system for these children, so orphanages are relied on to provide for the homeless and hurting children.
In 2007, Guyanese natives Surujnauth and Sheila Surujpaul started Bless the Children Home. Most of the children in the orphanage were either abandoned by their parents or their parents were seen as unfit to raise them. Many of their stories were ones of abuse, abandonment, and exploitation before finding a home in Bless the Children. The children under the care of the Surujpaul’s receive access to clean water, an education at nearby public schools, and the Gospel being spoken to their hearts. The hope is for the children to continue serving the Lord even after they leave the orphanage.
Your investment in the home will continue to sustain the facilities and those who find refuge in this ministry.
