In Acts 17, standing on Mars Hill in Athens, Paul says, “He (God) has made every nationality to live over the whole earth and has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live. He did this so that they might seek God, and perhaps they might reach out and find him…”
Millions of Muslims are fleeing nations like Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq, creating a huge refugee crisis in Europe. Greece is the epicenter of that crisis.
We believe, in accordance with Acts 17, that this is no accident. We believe that God has ordained that those people move from places where it was hard to share the Gospel to places where we can freely evangelize them. Right now, we have the greatest opportunity in hundreds of years to reach Muslims.
The Mars Hill Initiative is dedicated to seizing that opportunity. We do this by meeting the humanitarian needs of the refugees, particularly refugee children, and then using that platform to share the Gospel.
