Alpha and Omega Home - Poza Rica
Latin America - MexicoWe are located in Poza Rica, Veracruz, Mexico where we serve the children of our state and surrounding states who have suffered extreme cases of abuse, poverty, and abandonment. Our home is a place of refuge where they will always feel loved, be provided for, and most of all receive a chance to experience the love of God and get to know Him on a personal level. Through daily care, we have the opportunity to show them who Jesus really is and show them what a family should be so that one day they can have their own healthy, God-centered family and pursue their dreams.
Our ministry started when our founders, Elias and Teresa Herrera, found several children living under a bridge. They took them in to live in the Sunday school classrooms of their church. As it continued to grow, the Lord revealed His plan for this ministry. In 1999, the first dormitory was built and dedicated. Currently, we have three dormitories, a school building, a fully-equipped kitchen and dining hall, an auditorium, the director’s home, and the founder’s home. Under the current leadership of Obed (son of Elias and Teresa) and Yazmin Herrera, the ministry continues to reach hurting children.
For more than 30 years, Casa Hogar Alfa y Omega has been able to directly serve over 600 children. We have been able to build on our property over 8 buildings used for the ministry. We have seen countless children from hopeless situations turn their lives around and achieve a higher education and successful jobs in order to begin their own families and provide for them. We have seen God restore them and recover their dreams.
