Gentle Hands Orphanages
Asia/Pacific - PhilippinesGentle Hands has been serving the people of the Philippines since 1989. Founded by missionaries Dennis and Denie Heppner, Gentle Hands began as a birthing clinic that saw more than 7,000 babies born. Recognizing the need to do more for the vulnerable, the clinic was closed in order to provide residential shelter to children who were abandoned, neglected, abused, or in crisis situations.
Since 2000, Evan and Charity Graff live full-time in Manila where Charity serves as Executive Director of Gentle Hands while Evan teaches history to the children of missionaries who serve in Asia. Currently there are two homes that serve an average of 175 children by providing holistic care through medical, educational, psychological, and spiritual intervention. The children grow, heal, and learn that God is a good God who loves them. They are taught that God has a plan for their life, no matter the trauma they have experienced.
Most of the children of Gentle Hands go forward into international adoption, finding families that will continue their journey alongside of them, loving and providing for them as they work towards healing. Your partnership allows Gentle Hands to tangibly show to these precious children that there is hope in love.
