Grace Home Orphanage
Africa - UgandaThe Grace Home Orphanage was established under Church of God World Mission Uganda to reach the orphaned and needy children within Uganda. It focuses on both actual and social orphans. Children are provided with accommodation, education, meals, other social needs, and spiritual nurturing. In the 1990’s, two committed pastors died and left their children helpless. Then National Overseer, the late Bishop Joseph Kagarama, was convinced of the need to start the project in order to reach children in such situations.
In spite of the fact that we do not have a permanent home for the children, God has enabled us to support the needy children. We strive to be God’s instruments of love and care in order to give the children in the home hope for their future and hope in Christ. Some of them have been able to gain an education, some have joined the ministry, and many have started their own families. This has been a great encouragement to continue with this work, and we are believing God for a financial miracle to construct a home for them.
One of the beneficiaries of the orphanage was Joy. Her parents died when she was a little girl. We supported her until she completed her studies. She is now working as a hair dresser and is a great encouragement to other young people living in the orphanage. Joshua is yet another beneficiary that is currently serving in the Church at Seeta. He aspires to be a lawyer and is in his final year of studies.
