House of Hope, Sangaburi and House of Hope, Maesot are both located by the border of Myanmar and Thailand. Due to unceasing wars in Myanmar, we have had Burmese children running with bare feet to Thailand seeking help. The children are often persecuted by the Burmese army, and some of their parents have been killed. When these children came to the Thailand border, we receive them, and shelter them.

House of Hope, Sangaburi was was established in 2006. We found 5 barefoot children living on the street. They had no food to eat and no shelter. We began to provide for them, and later on more children came. We have helped many of them to receive a legal residency status to live in Thailand. House of Hope, Maesot was established in 2023, also with 5 initial refugees.

As one example of this ministry, Jess witnessed his home in their village being burned to the ground by the military in Myanmar when he was only two years old. His aunt took him in her arms and ran for their lives. After crossing the border to Thailand, Jess grew up in House of Hope. He has now graduated and is now learning a skill for his living.
