Australia, the largest island nation in the world, is home to some 24 million people. Demographically, these people are predominantly European, with an indigenous population of roughly half a million and a smattering of immigrants from Asia and the Middle East. While the predominant religious affiliation is Christianity, Australia also has the most rapid growth of Islam, mostly via immigration, of any nation in the world.
It is this rapid growth of Islam that prompts Missionaries Blayne Waltrip, Scott Rains, and representatives of the Global Institute of Ministerial Training to travel to Australia in November, with specific training on how to tell these immigrants about the love of Christ.
During this endeavor, the team will also be with the T42 church plant in New Zealand for its grand opening.
