Wanda Carroll Turner, a devoted servant of faith and cherished member of her community, passed away on March 13, 2025 in Jasper, Alabama. Born on February 13, 1943, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Wanda lived a life dedicated to ministry, family, and the things that brought her joy.

Wanda’s deep commitment to the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) was evident throughout her life. She served as the State Women’s Ministries President for the states of Alaska, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Western North Carolina, touching countless lives throughout her leadership and unwavering faith. As both a pastor’s daughter and a pastor’s wife, Wanda’s love for the Lord and the Church was at the core of everything she did.

Family was central to Wanda’s life. She is survived by her loving husband, Harvey Turner Sr.; her son Harvey Turner Jr. and his wife Kelley; her sister Diane Worley and her husband Jim; grandchildren Dillon Turner and his wife Kristen, and Sara Turner; great-grandson Luke Turner; as well as nieces Selena, Marti, and Stephanie; and nephew Chad. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Arlie & Zelma Carroll; son Scott Turner; brothers Robert & Bruce Carroll; and sister-in-law Gayle Carroll.

Beyond ministry and family, Wanda found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved to shop QVC, laugh, watch her Kentucky Wildcats, listen to a song by Engelbert Humperdinck, and enjoy a hot cup of plain, black coffee.

Wanda’s legacy is one of faithfulness, love, and joy. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May her life continue to inspire all who were blessed to share in it.
